Clinical psychology is a structured, assessment-based professional intervention. The clinical psychologists practising at TreeholeHK work to the Scientist-Practitioner Model — walking alongside you, targeting the right issues, and helping you rebuild the life you want.

Through scientific assessment and treatment, we help you — when you're carrying intense emotions or symptoms — find steadiness again and rebuild the rhythm of daily life.

You want a more systematic way to address it

You want more than just talking — a structured approach that understands the problem and works through it step by step: clarifying what's happening, understanding the causes, and setting a clear direction for improvement.

Every practitioner you sit down with has passed our published selection criteria — all three dimensions met, or no invitation to join. Most applicants don't make it.

These criteria come straight from our Code of Psychological Service Practice: you have every right to know how the person across from you was chosen.

What happens after you book?

  1. Get to know your clinical psychologist

    Her background, focus areas, and how she sees this work — all set out openly on this page.

  2. Pick a time

    Choose a slot that works for you — in person or online over Zoom.

  3. Pre-session questionnaire

    On your first booking we'll ask you to fill in a short questionnaire: how you're doing, what you'd like to work on, and a few safety questions. It helps your clinical psychologist understand you before you meet.

  4. Start your sessions

    Sessions are 50 minutes. In the first, your clinical psychologist works with you to understand your situation and clarify the direction of treatment — not to decide it for you.

FAQ

Changing or cancelling a booking

Every booking must be confirmed at least 48 hours before the session; new bookings and changes aren't accepted inside 48 hours. You can review or change your booking here — for anything else, email info@treehole.hk or call 9417 9844 during office hours.

If you don't give notice at least 48 hours ahead, or miss the session without any notice, the full session fee still applies.

If you arrive late, the session runs for the time that's left, with no extension; arriving more than thirty minutes late is treated as forfeiting the session, and the fee isn't refunded.

Should I choose psychotherapy or clinical psychology?

If your difficulties are clearly affecting daily life, or you're experiencing symptoms consistent with a clinical diagnosis, clinical psychology is the better choice. If you're largely managing life and want a safe space to understand yourself and make sense of your experiences, psychotherapy will suit you better. You can also book either one first and assess it together with our practitioner.

Do you offer sessions in English?

Yes. Our clinical psychologists work in Cantonese, Mandarin and English — just note your language preference in the remarks when you book.

Who can see the information I give when I book?

Only your clinical psychologist and the staff needed to handle your booking — all bound by the confidentiality commitments in the Code of Psychological Service Practice. You can ask to see or update your information at any time.
